The Car
Important Note: My contract for a driving school car (with AA Driving School) expires in mid June 2026 and I will be exploring other options for the supply of a manual vehicle in the spring of 2026. While my current aim is to replace my current vehicle with another Ford Focus with a similar spec, this will not be confirmed until around March or April.
The current vehicle supplied to me, as part of a contract with AA Driving School (AA Solo Contract), to deliver driving lessons in Nottingham is a manual Ford Focus 1.0L ST Line but not branded with AA Driving School livery.
The car is a mild hybrid, petrol, manual version. It was manufactured in 2024, is fully serviced, maintained and, in an emergency, can be replaced within 48 hours. It is worth noting, if you’ve not driven a mild hybrid before, that the electric motor is charged though regenerative braking. Essentially this means that, when decelerating, the power generated is transferred to the electric motor. The main difference that you’d notice as a driver is that the car starts to slow down more rapidly as soon as you come off the gas pedal and is also easier to control the speed of the car when going downhill.
To book your first driving lesson with me or to explore your requirements in more detail, please contact me using my contact form, by telephone or send me a message (text or WhatsApp) using any of the contact details at the bottom of this page.
